Please remove all liquor and alcohol adveisements along all the streets of Mtromanila. They are dangerous come-ons as they induce the drivers to drink and drive.

These could result in  road accidents of unprecedented nature.

Whoever had thought of putting them up, never considered the consequences that could ensue from the presence of those billboards.

Our people are already reeling from high prices of goods and services. Drinking is one of the major ways offered in this society to forget them.

Please help our people become strong against destructive habits.

Also let us examine the qualifications of those government officials who approve the display of ads if they are really qualified to hold on to their jobs.

Whoever said that road drivers are not prone to being persuaded to drink while driving after seeing those liquor and alcohol  ads along street islands?

Whoever said that every admaker has the license to corrupt the minds of drivers regardless of where they are?

Whoever said that advertisers, especially billboard advertisers, have the last say on where they will position their ads?

Whoever said that extremely white lighted ads should be placed in the middle of the streets even if they blind the divers while driving?

Whoever said that big billboard ads, as high as a building, should tower over EDSA even if they intimidate the ordinary short Filipino people and make them hate their God-given height?

Whoever said that ads should cover the beautiful architectural landscape of our cities, towns and rural farms and make them more important than everything else?

Whoever said that women can shed off their modesty in the name of earning a huge living by exposing their thighs to model shoes and other paraphernalia?

Whoever said that we cannot raise these questions at all even if the ads around  corrupt the minds of the people to bow down to materialistic tendencies?

Dear Sirs/ Mesdames,

I am a writer and have been subjected to so much harassment by the police assigned here at Barangay Donya Imelda, Quezon City, Philippines.

They have soiled the name of the Philippine police by doing acts that are sexually maniacal in nature. Yesterday they destroyed the locks to my residence and I got nearly locked out.

My blog is google thirdforce-prg. Please judge for yourself if there is anything that is undemocratic in what I write.

They have avoided being inspected and analyzed by international police so that they act impervious and invulnerable to all kinds of criticisms. They treat the people as animals at their beck and call especially if the individual has no political power.

Please bring sanity and reason to police work here in my country. We don't deserve this treament at all.

Kindly reeducate the policemen and policewomen assigned here on what is respect of womanhood, of the elderly and of the people in general.

Dear Friends in the International Winen's Movement. I have been involved since 1981 and the state of mind of Trudeau is appalling.

Trash -100 containers- were shipped to my country due to the greed of the past administration. And he refuses to take them back, using stereotypic bureaucratic methods in dealing with our government.

It is a shame that his country is adjacent to yours which has a vibrant women's movement that attacks racist thinking and action.

Please write him - all the women in every state- to be decent enough to take back the trash of his citizens immediately and to publicize this in all the media outlets there.

Our collective effort should make him rethink his position.

Also pkease send copies to the women's movements in UK and in France especially to make him shake in terror over his callousness in acting like a colonial power.

INANE SONGS

Music heals the soul. That is a philosphy that has been handed down for generations. In fact there has been a study that the music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mizart can cure cancer, or alleviate the pain associated with it. Then there is a gRoup, that features guitar music all throughout its radio program. They are not only into producing music for radio but also for performing music at hospitals FOR FREE.

In our country some songs sound so inutil I am wondering how they were ever approved for airing. One repeats this line several times during the song - " Babalik ka rin,"  possibly in  reference to OFWs who will be coming home for good or for vacation. Why repeat such line over and over again - to create anxiety and stress on the OFWs? Sickening. That song is really trash - disregarding the feelings of the children and/or relatives of the OFWs here in the country who are forced by circumstances to listen to it should they be riding a jeepney tuned in to a radio station playing it.

Still  another song with the one line, " Uuwi na ako" repeated over and over. Parang kulang sa pakiramdam ang mga nagsusulat at nagpo produce ng mga kantang yan. Paulit ulit ang linya. Babalik ako. Paano kung hindi na bumalik? Kung namatay sa ibang bansa o sumama na sa ibang pamilya yung asawa? At maraming nangyayaring ganyan?

Pwede ba mga song producers, huwag naman kayong padadala sa akit ng pera. Your songs are manipulating the feelings of the people - you are not making music a powerful healing tool to make us solve our personal and social problems. Nagdadagdag pa kayo ng problema sa taong bayan.

Yet if we examine its activities, have they made a dent at all in the electoral practices in the country?

In its radio spiel, it says,"Tayong mga Pilipino ay mahilig mangarap. Kaya pagboto natin, isipin natin ang pangarap natin."

Ganon? Ano ba talaga ang pangarap ng bawa't Juan at Juana? Simple lang ba silang hihiga sa ilalim ng puno ng bayabas at mangangarap na sana ay malaglagan sila ng prutas. Ganun ba kainutil ang Pinoy at Pinay?

Hindi yata alam ng PPCRV na ang Taumbayan ay naghahanap ng mga mamumuno na mag-aahon sa kanila sa kahirapan, sa gutom, at kawalan ng bubong na masisilungan. 

Pangarap ng mga nagbebenta ng boto ay makakain ng 3 beses isang araw. Kaya sila ay tumatanggap ng suhol. 

Dapat tinanong sila ng PPCRV, tatlong beses lang sa isang araw? Hindi. Dapat sa loob ng tatlong taon at panghabangbuhay pa. Hindi sa loob lamang ng isang araw. Ang 200 o 500 piso ay hindi tatagal ng taon. Kaya dapat ang iboboto ay yung matino, may puso para sa mga nangangailangan, at handang magsakripisyo ng buhay para lamang makapagsilbi ng tapat sa bayan. Daang libo ang halaga ng boto natin.  

Kaya itigil na ang kasasalita na dahil sa pangarap kaya boboto ang mga tao. Mali ang propaganda na yan. Nasa alapaap ang pangarap pero ang boto ay nasa lupa. Kaya hanggang ngayon marami pa ring nagbebenta ng boto. 

Hay naku, PPCRV, please listen to the people, not to your voices. You have existed since 1991. Now is the time to examine your activities. Fraudulent electoral practices exist not just during the election day, but before, and after. 


Kung may 500.000 volunteers kayo, marami kayong magagawa para ayusin, palitan, gawing malinis ang election para ang pagboto ay mas makatao, tapat, walang bahid ng kurakutan.

Usung uso na ang paninirahan sa mga condo na kaytataas ng mga palapag at masikip.  Naririto ang aking mga suhestyon para gumaan-gaan ang pakiramdam natin sa pagtira dito:

1. Palakasin ang pagiging mapagkalinga ng mga magkakapitbahay. King maganda ang samahan, walang mahihirapan - sa pagharap sa mga problema sa tahanan, sa pamilya, sa trabaho, sa eskuwela o sa malaking lipunan;

2. Pagandahin ang kapaligiran. Pipinturahan natin ng iba-ibang kulay ang bawa't gusali - Pula, Orange, Luntian, (Green) , Dilaw, Beige, Puti, Maroon , Asul at Lila.Papipiliin ang mga homeowners sa bawa't gusali kung ano'ng kulay ang gusto nila. Magpapalabunutan. 1.) Kung kaninong gusali mapupunta ang kulay at kung ano'ng kulay ang gagamitin sa bawa't gusali;

3. Lalagyan ng bricks ( pulang bato) ang mga daanan sa pasilyo sa pagitan ng mga gusali, sa halip, na baku-bakong semento.Tatawagin ang mga ito na brick roads;

4. Maglalagay tayo ng dalawang elevators sa kaliwa't kanan ng driveway. Ang elevator  ay magseserbisyo sa isang gsali at maglalagay tayo ng walkway sa bawa't palapag  o floor para malalakaran ng mga tao papunta sa kabilang gusali.Naitanong ko na ito sa isang elevator company at nagbigay sila sa akin ng quotation na binigay ko naman sa isang opisyal ng ating asosasyon pero hindi. na niya maalala at makita pa yung papel;

5. Ang elevator ang silbi natin sa mga seniors, mg PWDs, mga buntis, at iba pang may kapansanan na nangangailangan ng tulong para makaakyat sa kanilang palapag.

FORWARDING COMPANIES' DELAYED ARRIVAL = POOR INCOME, POOR TAXES

Dear Folks,

Something is awry with our forwarding companies.








They cannot say what time or day the cargo or package will arrive. And when they say  in a matter of days, 10 days or more there is no guarantee at all which is unfair.

The company expects us to wait for the package o arrive the whole day thus our losing our chance to be productive on that day. They even expect senior citizens who live alone be available to wait for them the whole day and night.

Yesterday, a company had said it would deliver the package but half a day had passed and it had not done so.

I texted the guy who told me he would arrive yesterday and I said I would be back by 5 pm. 

You know what had happened? He did not reply at all,

I think the Department of Trade and Industry must discipline these companies who do their business without thinking of their duty to practice decent customer service. In fact it should be their top priority. 

Far too long that consumers have been shortchanged by commercial companies. Let us register our complaints now and make the DTI to once and for all not be the passive agency while the forwarding companies are making a killing in the market. 

"Bahala na si Superman kung makarating," seems to be their philosophy. Well Folks, Superman is not around anymore. Even in the Avengers Endgame he is invisible. Why because he has gone back to Krypton his home planet as the Russians are now manipulating the activities in the WH.

Please DTI, don't take this sitting down. A lost day devoted to waiting is diminished incom, diminished taxes to the government.

Greetings. I hope this day is relaxing for you,

May I report to you that the Intelligence assigned in Bahay Caridad Bgy Donya Imelda is committing abuse of authoity?

Eveyday as I use my Ipad I have a hard time surfing because they are always interupting my work. I research on matters about our country - news, opinions, statisics but they keep on intervening by whsking my screen to another page.

Secondly, there is a group that plays pool once or twice a week by the parking lot and talk so loudly as if they own the place until two a.m. the following morning.

The barangay would remind them but then they repeat the unlawful acts as soon as the bgy officicers are gone.

Thirdly, a secret police keeps a rooster poultry which makes so  much noise every morning that I have to get up early. And as I listen to the radio news, the crowing overpower the sounds so much so that I miss the important news of the day.

Fourthly, they make tricycle drivers or they themselves ride the motorcycles and race so fast to make unberable noise on the road adjacent to our residences. They always create noise along the driveway of Puregold as if to say, this place is ours and we can make noise as much as we want.

Are these people aware of their role as protectors of the State and that is us - ordinary folks who eke out a living so we could pay our taxes and provide the government with money to pay the salaries of government workers like the police?

Please do something about these problems for us to mainain our loyalty o Pres.D.

REGULASYON SA PAGLALABAS NG TARPAULIN.

Mahalagang maisaayos ang paglalabas ng tarpaulin sa kalsada. Sa ngayon nagtatakda ang Comelec ng mga puwesto kung saan saan puwedeng idikit ang mga tarpaulin.

Ngunit hindi sapat ito.

Kailangan, to bago ilabas, alam ng Comlc kung ilan ang naimprenta at kung saan inimprenta. May patakaran kungto magkano ang gagastusin para sa bawat botante ng kandidato. Ito ang magiging basehan kung ilan ang ilalabas na tarpaulin.

Sa Lungsod, kailangan estimado ng Comelec kung ilan lang ang  dapat ilabas na tarpaulin. Kaya't yung lumalabag diyan kailangan, patigilin na kaagad sa paglalabas nito at patawan ng kaukulang parusa dahil sa paglabag.

Sa aking pagiikot sa Lungsod Quezon, nakita kong maraming paglabag ang ginagawa kahit na ng mga taong umaasam sa pinakamataas na puwesto. Yung Scout Ybardolaza may mga tarpaulin pa ng babaeng tumatakbo sa pagka meyor sangkatutak sa gitna ng kalye, nakasabit mula sa kaliwa papunta sa kanan sa tapat ng simbahan ng Sacred Heart. Nakangiti siya at animo inosenteng inosnte sa mga paglabag niya sa mga patakaran ng Comelec.

Ano ang ginagawa ng PPCRV sa ganitong gawain kaya?


Ang Katwiran: kung ngayon pa lamang ay lumalabag na sa patakaran ang kandidato paano kung nakaupo na siya sa puwesto? Ano pa ang maaari niyang gawin?

TARPAULIN PROPAGANDA: KAILANGAN NG REGULASYON

Ang mga tarpaulin ay naging palasak na pam-propaganda ng mga kandidato sa eleksyon. Dahil walang regulasyon sa paggamit nito, walang habas na dikit dito, dikit doon ang ginagawa - na nagpapakita lamang ng mga mukha, pangalan at ang pusisyon na inaasam nila. Yun lang?

Karapatdapat ba ito?

Ginagalang ba ng mga ito ang talino at utak ng mga botante?

Binibigyan ba ng mga tarpaulin ng tamang pananaw tungkol sa isipan ng kandidato ang mga botante?
Itinataas ba ng mga ito ang kaalaman tungkol sa gagawin ng kandidato kapag nahalal?
Nangangako ba ito ng gagawin niya kahit walang katuturan?
Wala, wala, wala.

Kung kaya't dapat ipatigil nang Comelec ang paglalabas ng mga tarpaulin na walang sinasabing agenda na gagawin ng kandidato kapag nahalal. Hindi sapat na mukha, pangalan at pusisyon lamang ang nakatatak sa tarpaulin.


Upang maghubog ng mga botanteng masigasig bumoto, makilahok sa malinis na pulitika, at hindi madaling madedenggoy ng mga kandidato, kailangang gawin nating makatwiran ang proseso ng pagkilala ng mga kandidato at kandidata.

Napakahalaga ng eleksyon para hubugin ang kinabukasan ng ating bansa - tayo ba ay pamumunuan ng mga tapat na mga opisyales o mga kagalang galang na mga pinuno na sisiguruhin na tayo ay igagalang din ng ibang mga bansa?

Printed Tarpaulins - 
have become traditional propaganda materials during elections. Without restrictions, the candidates just pesent their faces and the position applied for. Nothing more. Is this reasonable?

Does it respect the intelligence of the voters?

Does it give the voters a perspective of the mindset of the candidate? 

Does it provide them knowledge of what the candidate would do once elected? 

Does it make any promise, no matter how empty?

The answer is a resounding NO on all counts.

Ergo, Comelec has to stop the release of tarpaulins that only present the face, the name and the position applied for by the candidate.

To breed intelligent voters, the Comelec has to require the candidates to present at least two or three agenda that they will attempt to attain once in office. This will serve as their promise which the voters can hold onto as their covenant with them. Once they do not fulfill any of those then they can be rejected during the next elections. 

Elections are crucial in determining the future of our country - whether we shall be led by real, sincere leaders or rogues whose preoccupation is only to glorify their names or fatten their pockets.

It is high time that we raise the quality of elections 
in our country and remove them from the clutches of money-scheming candidates and their cohorts.
