MEANDERING THOUGHTS

Listening to a woman talk about global politics, I sensed that she was under party political rule and was just mouthing slogans. She was reading her statement and there was no spontaneity in her speech unlike the other women leaders that I have viewed on screen like Angela Merkel and Jacinda Ardern. Considering that Ms. Merkel was born in East Germany and has a background on the communist rule there before it merged with West Germany, I think that her development as a world leader is remarkable. She looks humble and knowledgeable of the problems of her country,  as she is a politician and a scientist as well. 

I think the left has not come up with female leaders that we can look up to. China today is steeped in machismo. I saw a woman scientist and had thought that ahh, maybe she is worthwhile emulating. It turns out that she is part of the laboratory that developed the anti-covid 19 virus that is now wreaking havoc all over the world.

The Taiwanese President Tsai Ing -wen is leading her country in the fight against Covid 19 and Taiwan is now doing well with deaths under ten. Yet her country is being downgraded all the time by the CCP.
