CHANGE BEGINS WITH A SINGLE STEP

Dear Patriot,

We are addressing this to you who love our country and are willing to serve her needs.

Last June 30, we launched the Peoples' Primaries and since that time we have formed the National Screening Council and have met some of the reform partisan groups and their candidates. Now it's time to roll up our sleeves and divide the work that still needs to be done to accomplish our strategic objectives and ultimately our goal.

These are the working clusters that initially need to be formed:

*Peoples' Agenda - brings together the different advocacy groups and prepares Framework. Later to be discussed with partisan groups to form the platform.

*Education - prepares materials for Peoples' Primaries.

*Media - organizes media practitioners and prepares media plan.

*Candidate Search - Coordinates with partisan groups and puts together the list and see where they can have common candidates in the districts. Work with Kaya Natin.

*Special Events - Plans and implements events for fund raising and forums (works with reform partisan groups for Forums) Finance - establishes the procedures and accounting system

*Legal - levels the playing field by filing protests or cases against candidates violating election laws. Attend to other legal matters.

*Techcom - Website, voting, SMS etc.Liaison with other groups - seeks and contacts other civic and religious groups, trade, NGO's, youth and other movements etc. to invite them to support and join the Primaries.Secretariat

Based on this list please see what particular group in which you feel you can be most effective. You will be asked to group yourselves accordingly during the workshop so you can discuss your activities in your area of expertise and in line with our overall objectives and time lines. We will end with a plenary session where each group will be asked to present their plans so we can see areas of cooperation and coordination.

In the first part of our meeting we will review the current situation, propose courses of action, timetable for key result areas and the basic principles that will guide our relationships and interaction.

The workshop will be on Aug. 8, Saturday from 1-6 p.m. Venue will be announced
by next Wednesday.

May we request confirmation of your attendance. We would encourage you to invite others willing and able to work with us in the different clusters, and help us organize in the districts nationwide. Please email or text to which particular cluster you wish to join.

Text to : 09174620347 your name & cluster.

Sincerely,

Roy Carbonegro
Executive Director
