FALL OF BASTILLE

Let us celebrate with the French the Bastille Day when they were able to throw out the aristocracy.

"The French National Day is the anniversary of Storming of the Bastille on 14 July 1789, a turning point of the French Revolution, as well as the Fête de la Fédération which celebrated the unity of the French people on 14 July 1790....

...The medieval fortress, armory and political prison in Paris known as Bastille represented royal authority in the centre of Paris. The prison contained just 7 inmates at the time of its storming but was a symbol of abuses by the monarchy; its fall was the flashpoint of the revolution."
