THEY CAN, BUT DOES HE/SHE INSPIRE US TO BE NOBLE, TRUE AND ABLE?

I woke up in the middle of the night and my mind was full of faces of the presidential candidates. I started to feel uneasy. We could elect someone we can lean on as president because education in this world has already gone beyond the ordinary.

But do we need just an able president? We need someone who can solve our problems, who will be there when the going gets rough.
The question is: will that someone be able to inspire us to be noble, true and able? Will she/he make us achieve more and share that with others, and be more caring of the environment individually?

Noble -- will the president make us feel noble; to save lives by being responsible of our duties; do the impossible if necessity arises; sacrifice our lives should they be needed to save others and our country;

Truthful -- will the president make us honest to ourselves, honest when we commit mistakes, honest when we have to perform our duties?

Able -- will the president provide us all the opportunities to be able as we advance through the years, chronologically, and socially? Will the social ladder be removed so that everyone can aspire to get further education, training; can expect to be promoted at work without a padrino or a madrino; can raise a business without being harassed; respected without pressure from anyone; in other words, ang pagiging magalang ay magiging panuntunan sa lahat ng pakikitungo sa isa't isa - kesyo nakatatanda, bata, may kapansanan o wala at anumang kasarian?

Let us not vote for those candidates who tell us to accept bribes, lagay, which erodes our own self-worth, and self-esteem;

Neither of those candidates who turn a blind eye to the crimes/sins of their relatives who had become officials in the past or the near past;

Neither those who promise to do good but we know that the system can corrupt any do-gooder in just a few months.

I do think that we really have to cultivate our third eye to know who will be the best president for us.

In the last presidential debates, we saw how each one thinks -- one is a problem-solver but has questionable policies; one could lead us to an affluent regime but his own wealth is under fire; one has occupied a lot of positions in government but had failed to lead his colleagues to do good for the country, meaning to say, he lacked that charism to make his own colleagues follow his path of "daang matuwid" so-called;

Still another is a very ideal candidate but the partner- vice president is a big, big question mark;

Another has a heart of gold and let us hope and pray that when elected will last with all the golden virtues intact even when in power;

We cannot be forever cynical of the outcome of our political exercise.

Let us look for the charismatic leader, the one who will give the best performance and who will show us how to reach our own acme of success.

Meditation, breathing in and out, I think would help us solve the problem.
