FEEDBACK IN THE NAME OF SOCIAL CHANGE

joeymburgos@ yahoo

Personally speaking, I can say without any qualm that we've got nothing NEW
with how POLITICS is being played in our country, and I doubt very much if
we can say that we have ever achieved substantial positive progress towards
that end.

What we are actually getting now is is a new breed of politicians, but in reality, they are just mere wives, brothers, brother in-laws, sons and son in-laws of the much OLDER politicians. Most of them came from the same political clans.

They are just mere refills, like that in a pen that runs out of ink. Again I have to say that some of these politicians only change their brands, packages and labels, to be more saleable, but the aching truth is that some of them are all the same.

What we have also is the surfacing of some new political groups with their own blue print of governance, carrying the same promises and political slogans, all aimed to attract VOTES from the voting populace.

But please don't get me wrong on this, because I am not saying that these new political groups have no good intentions for the country, but sad to say, experiences
will tell us that the chance of these new players in winning the elections is very slim as compared to the incumbent and the oppositions who have already their powerful political machinery.

We have also the media that suppose to be playing a big role in moderating our electoral proces; but unfortunately, often times being used by some political parties who can afford to buy more airing time for political advertisement, of course to their advantage.

Parang bata pa lang ako eh ganito na yata takbo ng politika sa atin. So sad to say but the stink of the status quo with regards to our politics continue to linger, and it's my hunch, that it will remain forever unless we, the VOTING public, change our perspective on how to select WHO to VOTE.

The PADRINO, GAPANGAN and UTANG NA LOOB practices are still there.

We still have these kinds of politicians that never get lost in any
election, but only cheated. Nobody trusts anybody with regards to our
politics. "Dog eats dog" if I may say. No body trusts the COMELEC, saying
that it's favoring the incumbents, and so on and so forth. The whining and
complaining seems so endless.

Parang nakakalito na at nakakahilo na ang mga nangyayari.

This makes me remember the story of Diogenes with his lamp, who is walking
on the streets on the broad daylight looking for an honest man, but what he
found were SCOUNDRELS and RASCALS.

Now, WHEN can we be able to find the RIGHT LEADER who can LEAD us to where
we want to go??? Sana po, MALAPIT NA!!!

Are these Third Forces Not Politically Motivated by certain Candidate or Candidates? If not, what is the purpose again...?

I am hoping this (People's Primaries) is a good move and (will awaken)the Pilipino voters as a whole ... and not again for a vested interests.

Salamat po.
